International Standard Classes . . .
at Allegro Ballroom with premier teacher Lynette Canaparo are designed to include the entire Bronze and Silver syllabuses in waltz, tango, quickstep and foxtrot, introduce Gold level and variations, and increase knowledge of technique and movements concepts–while having fun!
Beginning students with absolutely no knowledge are accommodated and advanced dancers are challenged by the material in these classes.
Join us on Monday nights if you are serious about your dancing and want to learn the much-admired International style from one of the most highly regarded teachers in Bay Area ballroom.
Mondays 7:00 PM – Bronze (Beginning)
The full Bronze syllabus is taught. Foxtrot (eight patterns) is covered in its entirety each month. The extensive International syllabuses for waltz, tango, and quickstep (more than 16 patterns each) require two months. Basic technique and movement, including floorcraft, are introduced along with tips for advanced students.
Mondays 8:00 PM – Silver (Intermediate)
Basic knowledge of the Bronze level is required. The complete Silver syllabus is covered, with a review and added depth on certain Bronze elements, during the first three weeks. The fourth week of class is devoted to Gold (advanced) and non-syllabus variations, which allows introduction of advanced concepts and aids students in learning to choreograph.
Fifth Monday of the Month (four times per year)
Viennese Waltz is offered, covering the entire syllabus.
