Congratulations, and a big “thank you” to Heintje Soriano for doing such a stellar job of pulling it all together! Julia Overway (18), a scholarship recipient, landed first place in Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango and Viennese Waltz as she danced with instructor Scott Patterson.
Also deserving mention are the other Allegro dancers who participated in this event and did a fine job of representing Allegro Ballroom. They are: Bill & Fran Manning, Ricarda Nelson, Barbara Tuse, Noelle Caskey, Jay Chan & Rebecca Gross, Mithra Harifandi, Nancy Francis and Naomi Ellis. All received top awards; Nancy Francis (with partner Heintje Soriano) received a Supreme Award.
Our teachers - David Arnold, Tytus Bergstrom, Jennifer Davis, Scott Patterson and Heintje Soriano - were impressive as they showed off their students and represented Allegro Ballroom in the Pro-Am events. David Arnold competed with his many partners in an amazing 68 consecutive dances! Our own Stephen Cullip and LaNay Eastman were there to officiate, and also dancing in the event was Allegro pro Tadas Jonyla.
